For our first gathering, we are pulling up chairs around a book and letting the conversation go wherever it wants to go.

We are welcoming author Safinah Danish Elahi for an intimate evening built around her novel, Chasing Shadows in Borrowed Light, and the questions it leaves you with once you have closed it. We will talk about identity, friendship and the strange, winding paths our lives take, what happens when we grow in different directions from the people we once imagined would always be beside us, and what it means to look at the life we actually have next to the one we thought we would.

Come alone, or bring the friend you have been meaning to see. Just bring your curiosity. We will take care of the rest.
